April 11, 2026 Throw Yourself In

I’m thinking, wondering – why would he do that?
Maybe something in Peter couldn’t wait.
Maybe the moment he hears, “It is the Lord,” everything in him moves.
No pause.
No plan.
Just pursuit.
“That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, ‘It is the Lord!’ When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment… and threw himself into the sea.” John 21:7 ESV
Peter knew what he had done.
The words. The denial. The weight of it.
And ye t … he still went toward Jesus. I love that.
The last time he faced a moment like this, he failed.
And now, here he is again – same man, same, reckless heart.
And, … Jesus is there.
Not to shame him.
Not to send him away.
But to sit with him.
Feed him.
Restore him.
That jump wasn’t just sudden.
It was sacred.
A full-force run toward mercy.
If you and I have ever wondered if we can go back after we have fallen …
time and time again … we can.
Jesus is still there.
And, He’s still calling us close.
In His Love and Light,
Angie
