December 24, 2025 Believing

We had a grand Christmas Eve Eve sleepover – with popcorn and movies and Sequence and Yahtzee. In a year or two the littlest grand babies will join us for these fun nights. Christmas through young eyes becomes so magical.

This photo was 5 years ago – the years keep adding blessings.

They seem to be harder and all consuming in the thick of it though. Then – in hindsite, the miracles along the way truly surface and you can see God’s hand and provision and blessings all along the journey.

Believing is magical. When it gets late and things settle down, blankets and calm come out. You can feel the love from the little hearts and everywhere, really … Christmas has a certain hush to it, doesn’t it.
A holy stillness where heaven feels close enough to hear your breath.

This feels a bit all over the place this morning, but this morning’s Blackaby devotional … these words left me in a puddle – not loud, but just in awe of God’s goodness.

“Blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her.” Luke 1:45
Mary believed before she saw.
Before the proof.
Before the plan made sense.
She didn’t know the path – only the Promise.
And that was enough.

Is that enough for you? For me?

Only the Promise.

Because … that’s the holy and sacred and intimately personal invitation for _ … fill in your name and feel this promise.
Feel every part of it in filling every cell, running through you.

Believe when the details are blurry.
Believe when the waiting is heavy.
Believe that God has already gone ahead of you and put everything in place.

Peace doesn’t arrive with perfection.
It comes with trust.
A settled soul.
A soft yes.

This Christmas Eve, what better time to fill our hearts fully with all of Christ and believe that all things are in motion for His ultimate peace in my life, and in yours.

Blessed are we, when we believe.

I believe, Father.
Thank you for the Promise.

In His Love and Light,
Angie
