December 31, 2025

This Blackaby ‘Experiencing God’ daily devotional got to me this morning. This today is a reflection day.
Not a rushing day.
Not a regretting day.
But … a releasing one.
You and I are invited to simply set 2025 down with open hands …
the wins,
the wounds,
the worries,
lessons learned the hard way.
We do not carry them forward as chains, but as teachers. God never wastes a season, even the ones that stretched us thin.
Before the new year begins, let us simply sit with Him.
Quiet.
Honest.
Humble.
In this time, I confess … not because He doesn’t know, but because confession cleans the corners of our hearts.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)
Clean hearts make room for new assignments.
God’s mercy does not recycle … it renews, doesn’t it?
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22–23 (NKJV)
No fear of failure.
No weight of loss.
Only awe.
“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?” Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV)
How can He take my ashes and turn it to beauty? Oh – He will. His finest work comes through impossible situations.
Yet, will I trust Him? Oh, yes. Even here. Especially here. Especially now.
You and me – we step forward forgiven, finished with yesterday – and faithful for tomorrow.
Knowing this – God has a plan and His ways are right.
In His Love and Light,
Angie
