Every time – I have think … isn’t that us?
Slipping out.
Wandering off.
Thinking we’ve found something better on the other side of what was meant to keep us safe.
And still … He comes.
Not with anger.
Not with a tally sheet.
But with grace.
The kind we don’t chase down, but the kind that comes and gets us.
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10
That’s the grace of Christ.
Freely given.
Fully offered.
Even when – especially when – we’re the ones who wandered.
We struggle to recognize it because it doesn’t look like what we expected. Sometimes it feels like being turned back. Reroute. Gently, firmly led where we didn’t plan to go.
But, oh … the mercy it is to be gathered back in.
Not because we earned it.
Not because we got it right.
But because He loves us.
And maybe this day, if you feel a little off path … redirected … I t’s not punishment.
It’s grace –
finding you,
and leading you home.
In His Love and Light,
Angie
