February 26, 2026 Hope for the Ages

Dale and I were watching that momma cow on the hill last night. Waiting to see if she’d have the calf on her own or if we’d need to drive her to the lot to pull it. (I say “we” as if I hadn’t already text’d Levi to be on standby to come help – those mommas appreciate his and Dale’s combined pulling strength more than mine!)
Sometimes, it feels unfair- how God’s wild and beautiful world can also be sharp.
Birthing new life.
A tender heart.
Both made for glory … and yet both can be wounded on the journey.
Still … look at what Job says:
“And you will feel secure, because there is hope; you will look around and take your rest in security. You will lie down, and none will make you afraid; many will court your favor.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭11‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭ESV‬‬
Think about it – that is not pretend hope.
That is real hope.
Hope that makes your shoulders loosen.
Hope that lets you look carefully … and then rest anyway.
The wicked don’t get the final word.
Their sight will fail.
Their escape will be cut off.
But you, me …
we will rest.
And breathe.
And be held.
What kind of God loves like that?
Mmmm.
In His Love and Light,
Angie
