March 6, 2026 Dusting off

Chickens do a thing called a dust bath to clean themselves. It keeps their feathers healthy and fluffy and gets rid of the yuck they don’t need to carry.

Have you ever caught yourself making a snap judgment about someone … only to learn later they were carrying more than you knew?

I think we all have.

And, maybe that is one of the truest things about this life: every one of us is still learning how to be human.

Still learning how to speak gently when stress runs high.
How to stay soft when hurt tries to harden us.
How to love well through misunderstanding, messes, and ordinary mistakes.

We are tender souls in training.

That is why grace matters so much.

For the woman who returns a sharp response.
For the man who feels distant.
For the child still finding their footing.
For your own worn-out heart, too.

“For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:14

God never asks us to be flawless. He asks us to stay near Him while He shapes us.

So, maybe today we loosen our grip on judgment.
Maybe we remember: people are carrying hidden things.

And, all of us … every last one  – are still practicing how to be human. where is grace changing the way you see someone … and could that someone even be you?

In His Love and Light,
Angie
