March 4, 2026 Anchored and Marching Forth

My little girls from last weekend – some days don’t need much to be mighty, do they?
Just front porch sunshine.
A bottle of bubbles … learning how to blow them, and giggles.
A little pull-horse going nowhere fast … yet somehow going everywhere that matters.
Jewelry that gets worn like treasures .
Bracelets and beads.
This world can be rough – full of war.
Wars of worry.
Wars of words.
Big, loud things that try to shake a life loose.
But these small memories?
They make a hidden harbor.
One day, when hard winds hit, these girls will reach back … without even knowing it … into the ordinary.
Into the soft.
Into the safe.
And this will help hold them steady.
I know, because memories like this still hold me.
My own little-girl days with my family, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, feel like a few weeks ago, not decades.
Grateful. Thankful. Blessed.
All held … by a God who keeps me still.
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a Mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17 ESV
What helps keep you anchored right now?
In His Love and Light,
Angie
