April 13, 2026 Abundance of the Heart
I had that thought Saturday …handing Dale tools. Worn wrenches. A screwdriver passed back and forth. Nothing fancy – just keeping things running, fixing what’s broken, changing out spark plugs and what-not.
And it felt holy. Because most of life isn’t big moments.
It’s this
steady,
simple,
showing up.
Somewhere between the clink of metal and the murmur of the work, it settled me … what we carry inside matters.
Jesus said “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good…” Matthew 12:34–35
Our words … they’re tools too.
They can mend or scar.
Lift or lay low.
It’s a choice, isn’t it … slow words. Soft ones. Strong in grace.
Because the little things?
They’re where the heart is revealed … and where God gently makes us whole again.
Your heart is abundant – think about that and let the good flow out from there today.
