May 1, 2026 Revealed in the Small

Even little sounds … driving up our gravel road yesterday, I noticed the sound and thought about the wear on my tires – these thoughts remind me that life doesn’t rush after all … it reveals. Our girls remind me that everything is revealing as ‘new’ in them.
I watch folks carry more than their share – office sounds of phones and copiers with life pulling at the fringes, others out fixing fences, moving hay, raising families, holding quiet hurts … and still showing up.
Not polished.
Not perfect.
Just present.
And somehow, that feels holy.
God has always worked through the willing, not the flawless, hasn’t He.
“But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;”
1 Corinthians 1:27 ESV
There’s a sacred kind of strength in small places. In the small moments … in doing the next right thing when no one’s watching. In loving your people when it’s easy and when it is hard. In staying around when walking away feels easier.
I think that’s where Christ meets us most clearly – not in the grand, but in the gravel places.
Right here in the ordinary.
Right here in you. And, me.
He reveals more of Him by revealing more of us through our storylines.
We don’t have to wait to be more ready, more polished, more anything.
Just willing.
Because the same Jesus who called fishermen … still calls hearts like yours and mine.
And oh… how He can use us.
In His love and light,
Angie
