April 23, 2026 Broken and Poured Out

I love the scent of a slow, country morning … the whole house filled with the sweetest scents, surrounded … the earth seems to breath easier in the earliness.
And I can’t help but think – Jesus noticed fragrance too.
“Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.” John‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬
Oh, the closeness of that moment.
A girl and her Savior.
A gift given … fully, freely.
Broken open.
Mary didn’t just offer it – she poured it out.
And when it broke … something beautiful was released.
That’s how it works, isn’t it?
What is breaking you?
Broken places don’t stay empty.
They spill.
They spread.
They shift the atmosphere.
There’s a sweetness in those who have walked through the ache …
and stayed.
Stayed soft.
Stayed surrendered.
“And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness …” Isaiah 45:3
Treasures don’t come without the dark.
And, oh … what they release.
“For we are to God the fragrance of Christ …” 2 Corinthians 2:15
Don’t hide the breaking.
Let it breathe.
Let it bless.
Because when you and I are poured out – He is made known.
In His Love and Light,
Angie
