September 8, 2026 Trying New Things

Here’s my latest … thing … experiment … trying something new with my flowers. I haven’t done it this way before, so why not? I’ve always liked experimenting with business ideas and models.
I tried Etsy years ago and crashed – it was with handcrafted jewelry. Still, some shops succeed despite the pitfalls. I’m curious enough to try again and learn how they do it. How do they make it work and make it worth it?
My brand spankin’ new shop, CemeteryFlowerCo, focuses on handcrafted headstone saddles and memorial vase sets, flowers that help families connect and remember. It’s my favorite part of doing florals. Memorials. I can get lost in it … well, actually, anything about designing flowers is my favorite part – except weddings, I suppose – weddings are definitely not high on the list. 😑
I’m re-learning the platform as I go, with butterflies and plenty of button-clicking. (whew!)
I’ll still do the other kind of arrangements, too – but for this Etsy shop, only focus on memorials.
What new thing are you doing or trying? Or, considering trying? The what-ifs can get heavy, can’t they?
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3, ESV
Notice it says when, not if.
We can
pray,
prepare,
and proceed with shaky hands.
Trusting God doesn’t promise massive business success. He does promise to be with us and He gives us our calling(s!) to use … to follow hard. And, that means we don’t walk through the process alone.
My prayer is that His love shows through my work. Yours, too. Whatever today’s ministry looks like, may we make Him known.
Will you follow along? I really could use your feedback if you have a minute. Visit CemeteryFlowerCo and tell me: Are the choices clear? What’s confusing or missing? I’m relying heavily on the fact the “everything is figureoutable”. Even this foreign territory.
A little help, a little courage, another step.

Yikes! Doing it scared, but not doing it alone.
In His Love and Light,
Angie
