September 11, 2026 Closer
Our Evie-girl rarely sits down.
She is busy being almost-two, with places to go and things to discover. So when she crawls close and stays awhile, I soak it in.
She leans in.
I lean in.
And … nothing else matters.
Beloved, I don’t have to wonder if Jesus is whispering the same invitation to you and to me today.
‘Come sit with Me.’
You have carried enough.
Thought about enough.
Tried to fix enough.
The hours have pulled you in a hundred directions … but He has never moved away.
He is right here.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Can you feel that?
Can you really be still … and feel Him?
You and I do not have to bring the right words. Or … don’t have to accomplish one more thing to ‘earn’ this moment.
Just come close.
Let His presence settle over you.
Let your shoulders soften.
Let your heart remember how deeply you are loved.
The Savior of the world wants you near.
Simply sit awhile.
And … let Jesus love you here.
