September 19, 2026 Deer are Thick
Normally, we spot one or two a few times a week. Right now, we’re seeing groups … BIG groups of them three or four times a DAY.
Knock on wood, one hasn’t run into us yet. But someone in our crew seems to take that hit every year.
Maybe it’s the dry ground.
Maybe the fires have moved them.
Maybe they’re searching for water, food, or safer cover.
I don’t know.
But I do know this. When things go dry, sometimes we have to move, too.
A door closes.
A season shifts.
Something that once fed your heart doesn’t anymore.
Don’t fear the moving. God uses dry places to direct your steps and my steps.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.” Psalm 37:23 NKJV
Press on.
God’s timing is perfect.
His ways are right.
He knows where the water is, and creates it according to His perfect plan.
