September 24, 2026 Newborn stars
The worry.
The waiting.
The mistakes.
The bills.
The walking on eggshells.
The hard news.
The questions with no easy answers. They can press in until it’s hard to see anything else.
Then a hand reaches out to help with a project. Someone says “Good morning” in the hallway. Supper is on the table, maybe with extra loves gathered around it. A text says, “Just checking in,” and a call ends with one more “I love you.”
How powerful is that?
‘Just checking in.’
Simple grace, tucked into an ordinary day. Little gifts from the Father to the apple of His eye … you and me.
In Job 38, God asks, “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?” These are some of my favorite scriptures. Read the entire Job 38 today. Do it.
Gosh – read all of Job with an open heart. With expectation.
Expectation of God working in you … in your life and your loves.
“Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said: “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me. Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements – surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” Job 38:1-7 ESV
Mmmm. Just visualize that – newborn stars! And, remember who you are: a newborn, most beloved child of the King of Kings, the Lord of Hosts, God Almighty, God Most High.
And .. even if you don’t or can’t feel it – it is still true. That is who you are.
Circumstances never change that, angel.
Sit with that a moment.
Let it sink deep.
Deeper still.
Sit with it.
Expectation.
God is working.
He is moving.
Softening hearts.
Yours.
Mine.
