September 26, 2026 Cautiously Optimistic
After days in the triple digits, fifteen degrees cooler feels like a kindness. The air is easier to bear, and the cattle get a little relief, too. We’re thankful for that.
Rain is still only a chance. El Niño may be setting in, but they say our area needs about 30 inches just to climb out of the rainfall deficit.
I suppose I’ll believe it when
I see it,
feel it,
and experience it.
I think this is called, ‘cautiously optimistic’.
I can be grateful for cooler days and still pray for the rain this land needs. Isaiah 58:11 reminds me that the Lord will “satisfy your soul in drought”
“And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah 58:11 ESV
One cooler day.
One hopeful prayer.
One day closer.
